Meet the Team...

Kim
Our CEO and Charity Coordinator is a devoted mother to two children, including her youngest, Alfie – the original inspiration behind our Little Heroes. She played a foundational role in the creation of the charity, having co-founded the very first coffee morning alongside Helen. This grassroots initiative became the starting point from which the charity has grown and flourished. Kim's passion, lived experience, and commitment continue to be central to the charity's mission and community spirit.

Chloe
A dedicated mum to Ruben, one of our younger Little Heroes. She is also autistic herself, bringing valuable lived experience and insight to the charity’s work. As the older sister of Alfie – the original inspiration behind the charity – Chloe has been involved since day one. Her unique perspective as both a sibling and a parent within the neurodivergent community contributes to her deep-rooted commitment to the charity’s mission and ongoing development.

Natalie
A mother to two Little Heroes, Lewis and Grace. She initially became involved with the charity when seeking support for her family and has since transitioned into a dedicated member of our team. As a self-described “big kid,” Natalie designs the play sessions and also serves as the team’s toy tester, bringing creativity and enthusiasm to ensure the activities and resources are engaging and enjoyable for the children supported by the charity.

Mikaela
A mother of two children. She has been working with children with autism since 2008 and joined the Little Heroes team in 2023 to help launch the Teen Titans program. Initially believing her children to be neurotypical, Mikaela’s professional experience as a Autistic Resource Base Manager led her to recognise that her youngest child has ADHD with characteristics of Autism. Together, they have navigated the journey of self-identification and diagnosis, drawing on both personal and professional insights to support their path with the help of the charity.

Claire
Claire first attended the support group when her daughter, Anäis, was two years old - nine years ago. When Anäis started school, Claire began volunteering one day each week. In 2024 she transitioned into a more permanent role and now serves as a Sessional Assistant, helping to deliver face-to-face, child-centred sessions. Claire is a highly valued member of the team and brings additional insight through her own experience as a person on the autistic spectrum.

Lyn
Lyn has been involved with the charity since its inception and is credited with creating the name "Little Heroes ASD Support Group." She is a mother to seven children with varying needs, including autism, and a nan to four. With previous experience deputising a nursery setting, Lyn brings valuable knowledge and expertise to the face-to-face, child-focused sessions. Additionally, she has been actively involved in a community anxiety support group, further enriching her understanding of supporting families and individuals with diverse needs.
Shoutout to the local teams that contribute their time AND money to keep us moving forward. Thank you!
